1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Football Today Chrome browser extension, website, landing pages, APIs, and related services (collectively, the "Service"), operated by Football Today ("we", "us", or "our").
By installing, accessing, or using the Service, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service and uninstall the extension.
2. Description of the Service
Football Today is a football information service that may provide:
- Live, recent, and upcoming football match information
- Fixtures, schedules, standings, teams, leagues, and related football data
- Extension panels, notifications, favorites, and account-based preferences
- Website, landing page, welcome page, and support experiences related to the extension
The Service is currently provided free of charge. We do not currently display advertisements or affiliate links inside the extension.
We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time. Football data, service availability, and product features may change without notice.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the applicable minimum age in your jurisdiction, to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may use the Service only with permission from a parent or legal guardian.
You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service is lawful in your jurisdiction.
4. Accounts and Google Sign-In
Some features may require you to sign in with a Google account. Google sign-in is used for authentication and account-related features. You authorize us to use the information described in our Privacy Policy for those purposes.
You are responsible for:
- Maintaining the security of your Google account and device
- All activity associated with your account or installation
- Notifying us if you believe your account or extension access has been compromised
We do not store your Google password.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation
- Access, tamper with, or use non-public areas of the Service or its systems
- Interfere with, disrupt, overload, scrape, crawl, or abuse the Service or its infrastructure
- Use bots, scripts, or automated methods to extract data from the Service except as expressly permitted by us
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to extract source code except to the extent such restriction is prohibited by law
- Circumvent authentication, rate limits, security controls, or technical restrictions
- Misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization
- Use the Service to transmit malware, spam, or unauthorized promotional material
- Use football data from the Service in a way that violates third-party rights or applicable data restrictions
We may investigate suspected violations and may suspend, limit, or terminate access where we believe it is necessary to protect the Service, users, third parties, or our rights.
6. Third-Party Services and Football Data
The Service depends on third-party platforms and services, including Google services for Chrome extension distribution and Google sign-in, hosting and infrastructure providers, and football data providers.
Football data may be delayed, incomplete, inaccurate, unavailable, or changed by third-party data sources. We do not control third-party services and are not responsible for their availability, accuracy, terms, privacy practices, or content.
Football Today is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected with Google, Chrome Web Store, any football federation, league, club, tournament organizer, player, broadcaster, or governing body, unless we expressly say otherwise.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, including our software, design, branding, logos, and content we create, is owned by Football Today or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your own personal, non-commercial purposes.
Football match data, team names, league names, logos, statistics, schedules, standings, and related sports content may belong to third parties. We do not claim ownership of third-party football data or third-party marks.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, publicly display, create derivative works from, or commercially exploit the Service or its content unless permitted by law or authorized by us in writing.
8. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, when we share it, and your choices. By using the Service, you acknowledge that we process information as described in the Privacy Policy.
9. No High-Stakes Use
Football Today is a fan-oriented information tool. It is not an official source of match data and is not intended for betting, gambling, financial decisions, legal decisions, emergency use, professional sports operations, or any other high-stakes purpose.
You are responsible for independently verifying any information before relying on it.
10. Suspension and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time by uninstalling the extension. You may also contact us to request deletion of account data as described in the Privacy Policy.
We may suspend, limit, or terminate your access to the Service if we reasonably believe that:
- You violated these Terms
- Your use creates security, legal, operational, or abuse risk
- We are required to do so by law or by a third-party platform
- Continuing to provide the Service is no longer commercially, technically, or legally practical
Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnity, dispute resolution, and general provisions.
11. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOOTBALL TODAY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, AVAILABILITY, SECURITY, AND RELIABILITY.
We do not guarantee that:
- The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free
- Football data will be accurate, complete, current, or available
- Bugs, delays, outages, or data errors will be corrected
- The Service will meet your expectations or requirements
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranty exclusions, so some of the above may not apply to you.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOOTBALL TODAY AND ITS OPERATORS, AFFILIATES, SERVICE PROVIDERS, AND LICENSORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS.
TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM OR USD $10.
Because the Service is currently free, this limitation is intended to apply to the maximum extent permitted by law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.
13. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Football Today and its operators, affiliates, service providers, and licensors from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to:
- Your use or misuse of the Service
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of applicable law
- Your violation of third-party rights
- Activity associated with your account or installation
14. Changes to the Service or Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date and provide notice where required by law or where the changes materially affect your rights.
Your continued use of the Service after updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Mexico, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.
Before filing a formal claim, you agree to contact us at [email protected] and try to resolve the dispute informally. If informal resolution is not possible, disputes will be handled by the competent courts of Mexico, except where applicable law gives you the right to bring a claim in another jurisdiction.
16. General Provisions
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the entire agreement between you and Football Today regarding the Service.
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent. We may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, or operation of law.
The English version of these Terms controls if there is a conflict between English and any translation.
